Dr. Talyai, OD graduated summa cum laude with her Doctor of Optometry degree from the Southern California College of Optometry, following the completion of her undergraduate studies in Biological Sciences at the University of California, Irvine.

Prior to and throughout optometry school, Dr. Talyai gained many years of experience in the eye care field, serving in a variety of clinical roles and learning alongside many of Southern California’s leading ophthalmologists and optometrists. This extensive background provided her with a strong and comprehensive foundation in both ocular health and patient care.

Her clinical training includes rotations at the VA Los Angeles Ambulatory Care Center, Tucson VA Medical Center, Orange County Retina, and Coastal Vision Medical Group. Through these programs, she gained extensive experience in the diagnosis and treatment of ocular disease, as well as in pre- and post-operative care for patients undergoing refractive and cataract surgery.

Dr. Talyai is licensed to prescribe both diagnostic and therapeutic pharmaceuticals and is certified in the diagnosis and management of glaucoma. She is committed to evidence-based, patient-centered care, ensuring that each treatment plan is carefully tailored to the individual needs of her patients.

Dedicated to advancing her clinical knowledge, she stays current with the latest research developments in optometry and ophthalmology. Fluent in both English and Farsi, she is able to provide exceptional care to a broad and diverse patient population.
